I am procrastination panda.

Procrastinate.  We all do it.  You're probably achieving a ninja level of procrastination by reading this very blog post.  I often do this under the guise of 'research' for my business, which then makes it all okay, right?  A little less procrastination, a little more action panda....

I'm a creative, paperwork and me clash.

Paperwork is the dark to my light, the bully in my playground, the Justin Bieber to my awesome taste in music. If  someone could magically make writing quotes and sending invoices as interesting as playing with flowers, or even as mildly distracting as looking at my facebook feed for the 10th time today, then maybe I would enjoy getting it done.

So, now that I've had my rant, I present for your viewing and procrastinating pleasure - flower fun!  Here's some pics of a recent photoshoot I had the opportunity of flowering  up with amelia & stone.  Gorgeous, jewels, baubles and handbags.  Enjoy! Rxx

Classic English Garden Chinese Red Wedding

If you thought that the title sounds like something you get after five rounds of Chinese whispers, well you're not far off.  This was the brief for a gorgeous wedding in August that The Eleventh Flower had the pleasure of styling.  It was a bit of a challenge trying to fit all of the elements required, but the end result was stunning.  We had so much fun working on this....

Bride and Groom: Joanna and Joe
Date: August 11, 2012
Venue: Ripponlea Estate and Gardens, Elsternwick, Victoria

Joanna's bouquet ingredients: 'Shiraz' and 'Sweetness' roses, Dutch tulips, alstromeria, sweet william, Geraldton wax buds, jasmine, nandina, gum leaves, magnolia leaves.

Joanna's dress was stunning and fit so well with the overall theme and feel of the day.

The four bridesmaids had a smaller version of the bride's...

...and each wore a lovely cream dress of their own choosing.

The groomsmen each had a 'shiraz' rose buttonhole...

and the groom wore a 'sweetness' rose buttonhole.

I really loved the styling for the reception.  Birdcages with pillar candles and fresh flower wreaths...

...the cages gave a magical glow during the evening's festivities.

Four large plinths flanked the bridal table and dance floor with bold red classic spring florals.

My favourite element- romantic compotes filled with spring reds and tons of texture and trailing vines.

A close up of the large arrangements reveals the same flowers as the brides bouquet with the addition of snapdragons, dianthus and gladioli.  I love the light in this shot.

So after many weeks of planning and four solid days of prep and construction and despite a down pour during the outdoor ceremony, Joanna and Joe's magical day came together perfectly. ' Classic English Garden Chinese Red Wedding'?  I think so.  xx

PS. A special thank you to the wonderful Deb at Marmalade Event Stationery for helping me with the set up on the day.  Couldn't have done it without her!
